Yeah something in the back of my head tells me that middle layer is supposed to be carbon fibre but that seems oddly ahead of the times for around 1978 ?

I currently still need the Mk 2 Sablosky, Mk2 Henderson, Mk 1 Lollipop (painted bottom) and BB flex…..so I’ll have to leave for someone with deeper pockets!

Talking of deeper pockets what are your honest thoughts on this Bugsyb?

As you know I’m after your Surrey Ripstick, as it’s very similar, if not the same as the one I bought in summer 1979,

Another one has just popped up on eBay fully loaded with Trackers and Snakes

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/297803601769 ... R7KTvIzcZg

At £350 I think it’s a bit pricey but where am I going to get another one 🤣

I could probably get £150 back on the wheels and trucks making it £200 which is where for sentimental reasons more than anything I sort of put yours in my head.

Welcome anyone’s thoughts on this is it a stupid move when it’s not the right colour way and the top graphic is different.

This is only the second one I’ve seen so it’s a difficult decision for you to make, probably would have already sold if open to offers, there are lots following which doesn’t necessarily mean any bids and a sale.
Trucks and wheels do have value as you mention and could grace any a complete if required.

Not too sure if it’ll go even though Surrey were such a big part of 70’s skateboarding !

i reckon its one of those things that only appeals to someone who had one back in the day,if it had just been the deck on its own then you would prob have won it for peanuts but i reckon itll get a couple of bids,be interesting to see how it goes

looks like i was wrong, no bids at all  the trucks/wheels and risers would fetch around £180 odd if sold on again so it looks like nobody wanted to fork out £180 for the deck,i presume you didnt make an offer?

Re listed……

I asked the seller a few questions, (very pleasant) it’s an original owner complete, wouldn’t consider offers and wasn’t in a rush to sell.

I not so sure, after owning for 46 years it’s not easy just letting something go, it’s more than just a financial transaction……but being realistic is another thing.
As you mentioned its got limited appeal!

Probably not too far off what it’s worth, maybe realistically £280/£300

Compared to a lot of the overpriced rubbish on ebay it’s an interesting setup!
